The VIE contract in short:

According to Business France\’s eligibility conditions, the Volontariat International en Entreprise (VIE) is an assignment in a French company operating overseas for professionals between the age of 18 and 28 who are European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein) nationals.

The local Compliance department is part of the Permanent Controls & Compliance organization in Germany and acts as the second line of defense for the bank in Germany. Compliance is part of the Group-wide Compliance business line, headed in Paris. The importance of compliance has increased over the past years to meet the growing regulatory requirements imposed by national, European, and global authorities. Compliance measures are essential for current business operations and new client relationships or business initiatives. Compliance also supports organizational processes such as new product development, client due diligence, and organizational changes. Additionally, compliance staff act as advisors to top management on crucial decisions.

By joining our small Compliance team , you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the various tasks Compliance handles daily.

Your main missions will include:

1. Increasing your knowledge of EU Banking-Compliance regulations and directives and understanding how CACEIS implements these rules, including their background and applicability within the organization;
2. Assisting with Know Your Customer (KYC) controls in new client due diligence and client review processes;
3. Advising on the international sanctions regime;
4. Understanding MIFID and its impact on our services;
5. Performing controls as outlined in our Group Compliance Control Plan, such as conflict of interest checks, compliance trainings, and specific transactions;
6. Reporting compliance metrics to the CACEIS Group and monitoring compliance indicators;
7. Analyzing potential AML (Anti Money Laundering) and fraud issues;
8. Conducting research on compliance topics.
