The Freiburg Red Cross (SRK) is a cantonal association founded in 1909 and a member of the Swiss Red Cross. Our association employs around 160 staff, is supported by 500 volunteers, and operates in the fields of health, migration, and social affairs. We are particularly committed to all people in need and respect the principles of the Red Cross.
In view of the upcoming retirement of the current post holder, we are looking for
Coordinator of the Red Cross Emergency Call
As part of the services supporting care and assistance at home, you will ensure the coordination and smooth operation of the Red Cross emergency call system as well as handle enquiries regarding electric care beds. You will guarantee a swift, efficient, and structured deployment between the volunteer installers, the emergency call centre, and the relatives.
In this role, you will receive and process customer enquiries, organise installations, manage the technical and administrative aspects of the devices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes. You will be the contact person for logistical and technical questions related to the emergency call system and electric care beds.
Main tasks:
- Receiving enquiries for the installation of the emergency call system and recording data in the software;
- Planning installations with volunteers and passing on all necessary information;
- Monitoring deployments and handling emergencies or technical problems in cooperation with the emergency call centre;
- Managing device inventories, including maintenance, returns, rotation, and stocktaking;
- Organising deliveries of electric care beds;
- Overseeing invoicing, debtors, volunteer billing, and statistics;
- Participating in coordination meetings with various partners.
Desired profile:
- Commercial employee with a Federal VET Diploma and at least 5 years of professional experience or equivalent training;
- Experience in the social sector or customer service;
- Native French or German speaker with excellent knowledge of the other language; bilingualism is essential for this role;
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise;
- Confident use of common digital tools, especially the Office suite, spreadsheets, email, and file management;
- Basic technical knowledge in electronic devices, telephony, and network connections is an advantage;
- Very good social skills, empathy, and diplomatic tact;
- Knowledge of the health/social network and experience working with volunteers are desirable.
