Tasks
Supporting the portfolio manager on the active management of fund’s book within its absolute-return strategy: Pitch and execute trades primarily in equities, derivatives, high‑yield bonds and index futures/options (DAX, VIX etc.) across European, US and global markets and manage the full trade lifecycle from order generation through settlement and post‑trade risk reporting Running continuous P&L explanation, Greeks and volatility‑risk attribution, and dynamic hedging adjustments under rapidly changing volatility environments Analysis of market/trading data to develop profitable trading strategies Build and maintain advanced valuation and transaction models (DCF, LBO, trading & transaction comparables, merger synergies) to support M&A and capital markets transactions Prepare monthly factsheets, quarterly/annual investor presentations, and investment memos for LPs, providing analysis of performance drivers, risk metrics, and market outlook. Keen interest in financial markets, with at least 2 years of experience trading or structuring equity derivatives in a hedge fund, investment bank or proprietary trading environment Strong quantitative and analytical skills, ideally with a degree in mathematics, physics, financial engineering or a related quantitative discipline Proficiency in Bloomberg (Terminal, Excel‑Addin) for quantitative analysis and trade execution Solid PC knowledge (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word) High degree of professionalism as well as strong drive and commitment Excellent oral and written command of English and German is a must Good communication skills and team player mind‑set We offer an exciting position in a strongly growing environment with a high deal flow and excellent opportunities for advancement.
