You’ll be joining a growing team that currently includes 70+ people overall. This role is based in Berlin . Most of our team is based in Berlin, Germany, but we also have awesome teammates in Switzerland , Spain , Portugal and other countries.

About the role:

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Information Security Governance, conducting Risk assessments, leading Incident Response Efforts, performing regular Security Audits and contributing to Security awareness across all teams . You will collaborate with Engineering Teams to protect Software and Data, deploy Security solutions, and foster a Security-First mindset while monitoring for potential breaches and vulnerabilities.

As our new Security Engineer you will be a part of the internal platform team that empowers our engineering teams to ship best in class products and you would be reporting to the Engineering Manager.

️ What you will be doing:

• Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure secure infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

• Implement and maintain Site Reliability Engineering practices such as monitoring, incident management, capacity planning, and performance optimization to ensure high availability and scalability.

• Making sure the external integrated organizations and technology stacks work seamlessly with our existing systems with a strong focus on security.

• Monitor, detect, and respond to potential security threats within the Web3 infrastructure and platform(APIs).

• Provide infrastructure and security support to the platform team during integrations with Web3 platforms.

• Perform security assessments, and ensure the platform’s overall security posture.

• Ensure that our services and applications meet the security standards required by our customers and business partners.

What you will bring:

• Solid experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with a strong focus on Implementing best practices around CI/CD Pipelines, AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Kubernetes. Proficiency in DevOps tools and methodologies monitoring, Incident management, and Automation.

• Programming skills to identify potential attack vectors and suggest solutions.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with incident response specific to Web3/ Blockchain and Decentralized Applications.

Nice to have:

• Solid Familiarity with Web3 Ecosystems, Protocols and Tools .

• Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools for monitoring and detecting unusual transactions or security breaches.

• Familiarity with ensuring compliance with SOC 2 security frameworks, including conducting regular audits and implementing necessary security measures.

• Understanding of privacy-preserving technologies such as zk-SNARKs and zk-Rollups, and their application in Web3.

• Familiarity with forensics processes specific to blockchain and decentralized applications.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards specific to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
