You will report to the Managing Director of Crypto Finance Deutschland.The Head of Finance will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the company. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of finance, including accounting, regulatory reporting, capital management, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the financial sector (a plus, if also within the cryptocurrency space), and demonstrate a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks.The starting date is as soon as possible in our office in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.Key responsibilitiesProvide comprehensive oversight of the company\’s financial operations and strategyEnsure accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting in compliance with regulatory standardsDevelop and manage the company\’s financial policies, procedures, and controlsOversee capital management, including capital increases and financial planningLead the preparation of regulatory reports and liaise with regulatory bodiesAnalyse financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategic initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and support business objectivesAdvise senior management on specific finance and accounting-related questionsManage loss event reporting, incident reporting, and conduct investigations of root causesPossess leadership presence to promote risk culture, and train and motivate staff to adopt new practicesRequirementsMaster’s degree in finance or economics4+ years proven experience in a finance role, preferably within the banking, trading, or cryptocurrency industry or at a leading global accounting firm, such as one of the Big FourStrong knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standardsDemonstrated ability to manage capital, financial planning, and budgeting processesStrong problem-solving mindset, creative in finding solutions, structured in implementationA dynamic person with an innovative spirit, a positive attitude, and strong motivational skillsSelf-driven, results-oriented, and hands-on, with an attention to detailFluency in English, German is a plusA professional accounting qualification and / or previous experience in the crypto industry is a plusJoin one of the largest global market infrastructure providers in realising its major digital assets strategy – with a clear vision to become one of the main players in the industry in EuropeTake part in and contribute to weekly knowledge sessions on crypto assetsGain deep insights into crypto asset trading, market making, execution strategies, settlement, custody, tokenisation, etc.Work in an inspiring, dynamic, and rapidly growing industryJoin a team-oriented and entrepreneurial cultureCultureAt the heart of our company, we prioritise :Innovation and Continuous LearningCollaboration and Knowledge SharingEntrepreneurial Spirit and Flat HierarchiesValues such as Excellence, Delivery, Ownership, Passion, and UnityPlease note :We do not accept CVs from recruiting or staffing agencies.
