Software Application Architect who leads the translation of system and software architecture and designs into robust and flexible implementations.
As part of the robot software architecture team, you contribute to a common and future oriented software architecture and development environment and ensure the timely and consistent implementation in the different robot software subsystems.
- Your Mission
- Own the translation of the defined software architecture and design into flexible software components
- Collaborate closely with implementation teams to convey the software architecture and design principles into the implementation teams
- Ensure clean, simple, and low-dependency implementations of the defined architecture throughout the development lifecycle
- Collaborate closely with the Build System, Dev Ops, industrialization and QA teams to gather requirements and needs for a flexible and extensible software architecture
- Keep track of defined interfaces between subsystems to ensure low coupling Balance implementation complexity with defined timelines
- Your Skillset
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong background in industrial software architectures, design paradigms and modern technology standards
- ~10 years of software engineering experience, ideally in industrial and embedded applications
- Expertise in designing and implementing hard real-time systems
- Solid experience with robotics software stacks and technologies (ROS, motion control, sensor pipelines)
- Proficiency in C++, Python, Bash
