Staff Robotics Engineer (f/m/d) - Whole-Body Control / Robot Learning & Control Hexagon Robotics

Established in 2025, Hexagon Robotics develops humanoid robots for industrial sectors to address labor shortages and enable the transition from automation to autonomy. The first humanoid product, AEON, was launched in June 2025 and combines agility, awareness, spatial intelligence and versatility to provide a market-leading solution for automotive, transportation, aerospace, manufacturing, and logistics customers.
We are looking for an Staff Robotics Engineer to design and develop robust, scalable software running on embedded Linux, working close to the hardware and collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams to bring our humanoid robots from prototype to production.
Your Mission Guide the team in applying state-of-the-art algorithms for whole-body control of humanoid robots
Hands-on implementation of whole-body controllers, including testing and evaluation on robots
Develop scalable training pipelines for reinforcement / imitation learning
Work in a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment developing a novel robot from prototype to serial production
Team-oriented, problem-solving and creative thinking to push boundaries of cutting-edge technologies
Being part of an R&D division with startup spirit in a globally active company: we work in an iterative fashion to solve complex real-world problems at the frontier of robotics
Your Skillset PhD/MSc in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field 5+ years of experience in developing planning and control algorithms, preferably on robotic products Expertise in a wide range of methods for planning and control - sampling-based, optimization-based, ML-based. Solid programming skills in Python and C++ Knowledge of robotics frameworks and tools (particularly ROS2, Omniverse) and ability to work closely with other robotics teams
