Director of Engineering

• Management of operations for the activities in the back-office software team.
• Develop the business around the current pool of expertise and business development opportunities.
• Support CS Group Germany Operations Director and CTO with the strategy of the Back Office.
• Deputize CS Group Germany Operations Director.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years’ experience in project and programme management, preferably in the space industry or an equivalent engineering industry in an international environment. Additionally, it would be helpful to have experience in:
• Managing several concurrently running projects.
• Producing Project Management Plans, Configuration Management Plans, Risk Management Plans, Progress Reports, etc., preferably in accordance with ECSS, EUMETSAT, and ESA standards.
• Interfacing with the customer, preparing minutes of meetings, reporting on KPIs, delivering data packages, kicking-off projects, and organizing milestones (reviews, checkpoints, phase-on, phase-out, and contract closure).
• Financial budget/targets.
• Line management of technical teams.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills that allow you to interact, develop strong professional relationships, and negotiate with clients and employees at all levels.
• Excellent communication skills; written, oral, and presentation in English.
• Documentation skills with high attention to detail in content and formatting (Microsoft Office Suite: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project as well as other tools).
