Facing the challenges of our timeHelp us grow and be more impactful!Our dynamic and successful Business Unit dedicated to Micro & Nano Systems, based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, is looking for a business-savvy, visionary and communicative Business Unit Leader.Your responsibilitiesStrategicDefine and deploy the strategy of the Business Unit in alignment with the company’s strategyProactively participate to the Executive CommitteeSteer the relationship with local stakeholders (Canton NE, EPFL, Industry associations)Define the research program and technology roadmap activities of the BUDefine the business development strategy and programsDrive the business acquisition and ensure a good relationship with all internal and external partnersSet the BU Communication and Marketing activities in collaboration with the central Business Development and MARCOM teamProactively support the internal collaboration with the other BU LeadersFinancialDefine, control and ensure the BU’s budget and financial reportingManage and approve the project portfolio and all BU investmentsDrive and supervise the Microfabrication operations and Cleanroom strategic investments in concert with local stakeholdersQuality management/ISOEnsure that the BU meets the company’s Quality standards (ISO Standards 9001 and 14001)Supervise and ensure the Project delivery and Microfabrication quality commitment to clientsSupervise external audits and evaluate external audit reports, in collaboration with the Quality ManagersHuman Resources/ManagementLead a BU of over 80 experts and engineersDirectly manage a team of 8 senior leaders (Deputy BU Leader, Group Leaders, Research, Business Development, Operations and Finance Managers)Define annual goals and ensure the development of all employees at BU level, in particular the development of young talentsMaintain a motivating and balanced high-tech working environmentIn collaboration with the VP Human Resources and HRBP, approve all hirings and promotions, and ensure the equity of salariesRelationshipsResponsible for the political networking and contracts in the Canton of Neuchatel and other institutional stakeholdersYour ProfileKnow-howAt least a Master’s degree in Engineering, PhD or MBA as an assetInternational experience in high-tech industry is highly desirableAt least 10 years experience in senior management position in high-tech industry – Semiconductors, Electronics components & devices, Photonics, Micro SystemsHigh level overview and understanding of the global high-tech industryBusiness acumen and understanding of industry macro trendsGood understanding of Micro Systems driven application domains as medical devices, electronic systems, instrumentation, energy, and emerging one as quantum, nano-tech, space-tech, Additive ManufacturingStrong capabilities to drive financial aspects and work closely with CFO officeProven experience in managing and motivating teams of highly skilled technical expertsFluent in English and FrenchInterpersonal skillsAn inspiring leader with excellent listening skills and the ability to build trust among customers, partners and collaboratorsAbility to define a vision and to provide clear directions and priorities to execute on itStrong analytical skills combined with structured and critical thinkingExcellent communication and negotiation skills with industry, academic and institutional stakeholderProven networking skills, with a strong network in Switzerland, EU and worldwideOpen-minded and creative thinkingAble to work under pressureCustomer- and service-oriented mindset and solution-driven approachFür die folgende Stelle sind möglicherweise eine Reihe von Soft Skills und Erfahrungen erforderlich.
