Position Overview

For our Global Engineering / Execution Systems department in Marburg, we are seeking a Senior Engineer:in Automation / MES Platform (m/w/x) . The position is full-time, permanent, and classified as Tarif E12T. Internal title: Senior Platform Owner. Internal application deadline: 20.06.2025.

The role reports to the Regional VS Recipe Owner.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and management of system administration as Owner for complex platforms and systems, including development, validation, simulation, and production systems, ensuring a seamless, integrated, and compliant framework.
• Ensure system availability through planning, communication, and execution of maintenance tasks.
• Lead coordination efforts on control platforms during various project phases: design, commissioning, qualification, and startup, in collaboration with the Execution System team.
• Coordinate across locations and departments to ensure task alignment and strategic consistency.
• Act as interface to all relevant stakeholders involved with control components, including quality, operations, engineering, production, and EHS&S.

Required Skills and Experience

• Typically a Bachelor\’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of PCS7 / batch, MES: PAS-X, OpCenter, project management methodologies (PMI or Kepner Tregoe), SQL.
• Server administration, virtualization, networking, firewall, and cybersecurity knowledge.
• Excellent skills in Siemens PLC & DCS/PCS, Siemens or Werum MES systems, database management, GMP environment, and English Level 2.
• 4-5 years of relevant experience in execution systems, automation design, and support.
