Overview
In this role you advise on commercial contracts across the EMEA region, supporting business objectives with practical legal guidance. You will draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements and drive contracting excellence while backing digital transformation and AI-enabled contracting solutions. You collaborate with cross-border teams to standardize templates and processes, and you help scale legal operations through automation and training. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements across EMEA (e.g., Master Services, Healthcare Professional/Organization, Patient, and CDA contracts)
- Provide practical, risk-based legal advice aligned with business objectives and compliance
- Partner with internal stakeholders through the contract lifecycle
- Develop and maintain standardized templates, playbooks, and processes to improve efficiency
- Deliver training on contracting topics and best practices
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and legal innovation
- Support implementation of Contract Lifecycle Management tools and AI-enabled contracting solutions
- Collaborate with legal and business partners across multiple countries and cultures in the EMEA region
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Qualified lawyer with practice eligibility in an EMEA jurisdiction
- 3–5 years post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm and/or international corporate environment
- Strong experience in commercial contracting, contract drafting, and negotiations
- Fluency in German and English; additional EMEA languages advantageous
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to balance legal risk with commercial priorities and provide actionable advice
- Experience across jurisdictions and multicultural environments
- Interest in legal technology, automation, AI, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/healthcare/life sciences industry
- Exposure to legal operations, legal engineering, process optimization, or design thinking
