At our site in St. Gallen, we develop and manufacture life-saving therapies for people with serious and rare diseases around the world. /p pFor our Site Logistics organization in St. Gallen, we are looking for an experienced leader to join us as /p pbHead of Site Logistics (100%) (m/f/d) /b /p pIn this role, you will lead the Site Logistics organization in St. Gallen, enabling the safe, compliant and on-time supply of materials to our manufacturing operations. You will ensure the reliable execution and continuous improvement of warehousing, picking and material flow processes in a GxP-regulated environment, while actively driving operational excellence and automation opportunities across the St. Gallen logistics landscape. /p pThis position combines operational leadership with end-to-end accountability for site logistics performance. You will ensure that the right capacities, capabilities and performance management are in place to reliably meet production requirements and evolving business needs. You will be a key interface to Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Sourcing/Procurement, International Logistics and other Supply Chain functions and represent Site Logistics in audits, health authority inspections and cross-functional forums. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead, coach, motivate and develop a team of six, establishing clear objectives, providing regular feedback and fostering a strong culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement. /li liEnsure the safe, reliable and compliant execution of warehousing, picking and internal material movements, including effective interfaces with Manufacturing to meet production schedules. /li liTake full ownership of inventory management, including cycle counting, ensuring accurate stock records and audit-ready inventory verification. /li liDefine and manage relevant logistics KPIs, communicate performance transparently to stakeholders and implement appropriate corrective actions to close identified gaps. /li liLead complex cross-functional projects and Continuous Improvement initiatives, supporting the achievement of relevant COS-driven objectives while maintaining GxP compliance. /li liLead structured problem-solving activities and investigations as well as process improvement and validation activities for new or updated logistics processes. /li liOwn the implementation and continuous improvement of processes and systems to ensure compliance with applicable cGMP, GDP and internal requirements within Site Logistics. /li liRepresent Site Logistics during health authority inspections and internal audits, ensuring timely and effective execution of CAPA commitments and sustainable corrective and preventive actions. /li liCollaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, International Logistics and other Supply Chain functions, as well as relevant internal and external partners, ensuring effective coordination across key interfaces. /li liServe in the designated role for air freight security, ensuring compliance with applicable air transportation security requirements. /li liDemonstrate visible safety leadership, ensure compliance with EHS requirements and work with the relevant safety functions to investigate near misses and incidents and implement sustainable preventive measures. /li liFoster a strong Continuous Improvement mindset within the team and encourage employees to identify opportunities to improve processes, reliability and efficiency. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liCompleted vocational training in Logistics and a relevant higher-level qualification, preferably from a Higher Technical College (HF) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. /li liSeveral years of relevant professional experience in Supply Chain Logistics, Warehousing or related operations, including leadership experience within a regulated environment. /li liProven people leadership and mentoring capabilities, with experience managing, coaching and developing employees. /li liSeveral years of solid cGMP and GDP experience, ideally around five years or more, within the pharmaceutical industry or another highly regulated environment. /li liStrong understanding of operational warehousing, material flow and inventory management processes and proficiency in materials management systems and SAP applications. /li liExperience with Continuous Improvement and structured problem-solving methodologies; knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies is an advantage. /li liStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively across different levels of the organization. /li liProven negotiation and conflict-management skills. /li liFluent German and English, both written and spoken. /li liA recognized qualification in air freight security, or the required eligibility to assume this responsibility. /li liCertification as a forklift operator and/or forklift trainer is an advantage. /li /ul h3About This Position /h3 ul liYou will lead a six-person Site Logistics team in St. Gallen and, together with your team, ensure the reliable supply of materials to our manufacturing operations while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and safety /li liThe position combines people leadership, operational logistics, compliance and continuous process improvement. While a significant part of the role involves leadership, coordination and administrative responsibilities, you will remain closely connected to day-to-day warehouse operations and should be comfortable supporting practical logistics activities when required. /li liThrough your collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, International Logistics and other Supply Chain functions, you will act as an important interface within our site organization and contribute to the continued development and reliability of our logistics processes. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
