You will develop our business with military, governmental, and defense-related customers, turning their requirements into concrete projects and solutions. You will manage the full sales cycle: identifying opportunities, establishing contact, developing customer-specific solutions, coordinating internal activities, and closing projects.
Understanding operational and technical customer needs is central to your role. You will translate them into requirements for new products, product modifications, and application-specific solutions. Working closely with engineering, product management, and application teams, you will help define development projects and turn commercial opportunities into successful customer solutions.
You will strengthen Cubert’s position in the international defense market, identify new applications and partnerships, and build a strong industry network. Your work will expand the use of our hyperspectral imaging technology in defense and security applications.
- Develop and execute sales strategies for defense applications, with the goal of growing existing accounts and establishing new customers, markets, and applications.
- Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities with military organizations, government agencies, defense contractors, system integrators, research institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, partners, and decision-makers within the defense ecosystem.
- Manage customer projects from initial requirements through technical specification and commercial negotiation to successful project execution.
- Understand operational and technical customer requirements and translate them into product specifications, product modifications, or new development projects.
- Define and coordinate customer-driven development projects together with engineering, product management, and application teams, and ensure alignment between customer expectations, technical feasibility, and commercial objectives.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle for defense customers, including opportunity qualification, solution development, quotations, negotiations, forecasting, and follow-up.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging defense applications, technologies, procurement trends, and potential market opportunities.
- Develop partnerships with system integrators, platform manufacturers, distributors, and other strategic partners to expand our market reach.
- Represent Cubert at defense exhibitions, conferences, customer demonstrations, and industry events and actively build our network within the international defense community.
- Work closely with internal teams to develop compelling customer solutions and communicate market requirements back into our product and technology roadmap.
- Several years in technical sales, business development, key account management, or a similar customer-facing role, with the ability to identify, develop, and win new business.
- Experience managing complex B2B or B2G sales with technical and commercial stakeholders, plus product- or customer-driven projects.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills with technical experts, decision-makers, and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to understand complex technical products and turn customer needs into technical and commercial solutions.
- Analytical skills to assess markets, competitors, and strategic opportunities, combined with a proactive, independent, and results-oriented approach.
- A strong sense of ownership and enthusiasm for advanced imaging technologies in demanding real-world applications.
- Excellent English and willingness to travel internationally.
Nice to Have
- Experience in defense, security, or aerospace, particularly procurement, tenders, or government sales.
- An existing network among military organizations, defense contractors, system integrators, or government institutions.
- A technical background in engineering, physics, optics, remote sensing, imaging systems, or a related field.
- Experience with imaging sensors, hyperspectral imaging, drones, unmanned systems, or other defense-related sensor technologies.
- Fluency in German.
- Based in southern Germany.
