Description

We are looking for a talented Human Resources Business Partner Manager (m/w/d) to join our team in Alsdorf, Germany.

A Unique Role: Cummins HRBP Manager, embedded at NPROXX

This is a Cummins role dedicated to NPROXX, a 100% Cummins-owned business that operates with a high degree of independence and is not fully integrated into Cummins' processes, policies, and systems. This makes it a rare opportunity: you stay within Cummins — with the full support, resources, and career network of our HR function and Centers of Excellence behind you — while working inside a smaller, entrepreneurial company where you can build new skills, shape HR strategy, and take on responsibilities well beyond the typical Cummins HRBP scope.

NPROXX is a world leader in high pressure hydrogen storage for both stationary and mobile applications.

The role reports directly to the EBU HRBP Director (Mariana Gaviao).

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Serve as the senior HR leader for NPROXX and a member of the Leadership Team/Management Board, providing strategic HR support and input at the highest level. Acting as the primary HR partner to NPROXX leadership, you will operate with broader, more end-to-end ownership than a typical Cummins HRBP — spanning strategic partnership through to hands-on HR generalist and operational topics.
  • Lead and develop a team of two HR Generalists, one based in Alsdorf, Germany and one in Heerlen, The Netherlands — setting direction, building capability, and overseeing HR delivery across both locations.
  • Provide expert HR support aligned with local regulations in both locations — Germany and The Netherlands — ensuring practices reflect country-specific employment law and the requirements of each legal entity.
  • Own and manage Works Council and union engagement in Germany, partnering constructively on co-determination topics, consultations, and negotiations, and ensuring NPROXX maintains strong, compliant, and trust-based employee relations.
  • Oversee NPROXX's established HR operations and identify opportunities for improvement. NPROXX already has its own HR policies and handbook, payroll, and benefits in place; the HR Generalists and the ADP payroll vendor run the day-to-day processes. In this role you will manage that delivery, assess where practices can be strengthened, and lead the resulting improvements.
  • Identify and act on opportunities aligned to the HR strategy, proactively spotting where talent, organization, culture, and capability work can advance NPROXX's business goals — and leading those initiatives end-to-end.
  • Leverage the Cummins HR ecosystem as a thought partner. NPROXX manages its own HR activities. This role can draw on Cummins' Centers of Excellence, Total Rewards, and broader HR community for ideas, tools, and select resources — collaborating on solutions that are tailored to NPROXX's specific needs rather than adopted off-the-shelf.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Enable team effectiveness: Strengthen team performance through facilitation and structured tools.
  • Advise with impact: Partner with stakeholders to deliver balanced, practical HR solutions.
  • Solve strategically: Tackle complex challenges with a structured, insight-driven approach.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Germany and travel regularly to the Netherlands (approx. 35-minute drive).

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Significant, relevant HR experience required.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
