To provide cost and commercial management services across a range of sectors including buildings, industrial, data centres, and pharmaceuticals, supporting projects from procurement and construction through to final account.
About the Role
Experience of pre-contract cost planning and estimating would be advantageous, although the primary focus of the role is post-contract delivery.
Responsibilities
- Deliver cost management and quantity surveying services throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage post-contract commercial activities including cost reporting, valuations, change control, and final accounts.
- Prepare and maintain accurate cost forecasts, cash flows, and project budgets.
- Assess, value, and negotiate variations, claims, and compensation events.
- Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Review contractor applications for payment and support certification processes.
- Prepare regular cost reports and provide clear commercial advice to clients and project teams.
- Support procurement and tendering activities, including tender analysis and contract administration.
- Assist with cost planning, estimating, and benchmarking activities where required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ensure all work is delivered accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
Required Skills
- Experience delivering cost management services within the construction industry.
- Strong post-contract cost management experience, including cost reporting, change management, and final accounts.
- Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management principles.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost management systems.
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors: buildings, industrial, data centres, pharmaceuticals, or similar complex construction projects.
- Chartership or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
Pay range and compensation package
- Up to Eur 80k base salary + package, dependant on experience and skill level.
