Job Description Summary
The Senior Marketing Consultant, Germany, will be responsible for developing comprehensive marketing plans based on the strategic priorities of the German business as well as coordinating and leading the deployment of these. Focusing the activities around the German key sectors, service lines and geographies, the role is ensuring that all related marketing and insight activities are effectively delivered internally and externally across multi channels.
CONTENT CREATION
In close collaboration with the BDS researchers, the role will generate strong thought leadership and insights to target key clients and prospects with tailored need-based content promoting our service solutions. By leveraging and localising pan-European content that has been crafted by the EMEA Research team, and seeking to align other content from Global, the individual will collaborate closely not only with the German marketing, research and digital colleagues but also with the EMEA BDS team to share best practices that will drive optimal client experience in the region and locally as well as strong ROI.
EVENTS PLANNING
This role will additionally be focused on implementing and rolling out a strong internal and external events agenda to further drive market perception and increase visibility. This includes the agenda setting for industry events and partnerships, the planning and organising of hosted client events as well as supporting the EMEA team on international industry fairs. Working alongside key business stakeholders as a trusted advisor, this role will be an integral part of the Business Development Services team across Germany and beyond.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Marketing Activities – Work with the German research, marketing and digital team as well as key stakeholders to develop the targeted marketing activities that align with business priorities. For each key deliverable, develop a customized and highly strategic action plan and follow through on implementation with the wider BDS group.
- Collaterals – Develop brand and sales collaterals for key sectors and service lines including reports, blogs, capability documents, website content, track record and key wins, content for local, regional and global brand campaigns.
- Graphic Design Elements – Liaison between the research leads and design team to give clear briefings on the report, sector and service line collateral, desired imaging, and graphical representation, thereafter, sharing feedback and project managing the delivery of each report, sales deck, capabilities documents, videos etc. Follow the company’s VI and brand guidelines on all external outputs.
- Global & In-Country Engagement – For global and EMEA content, localize and ensure the campaign is well represented and received locally. For in-country content, create with a storytelling approach and market across multi channels in alignment with the marketing funnel.
- ROI – Monitor campaign performance to deliver clear information on the campaign impact which can be shared with the business and leveraged to help guide our MarComs strategy going forward.
- Events – Plan and deliver the German Events Program including industry events, partnerships, hosted client events and fairs. Work with the EMEA events team on international fairs in Germany.
KEY SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
- Capable of strategic planning in order to deliver impactful multi-channel marketing campaigns in Germany.
- Expert in content creation always focused on the client’s needs and thinking across various formats.
- Strong in events planning and delivery working closely with external service providers.
- Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple, cross-functional projects with often tight deadlines and many stakeholders.
- Strong communications skills, both written and oral while influencing key stakeholders to align on projects.
- Fluent in German AND English.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years of marketing experience.
- Previous experience of working within professional services is preferred.
- Digital marketing knowledge and familiarity across SFMC, Engage and social tools is preferred.
