In the field of electric mobility, there is the strength to meet the demanding requirements of the automotive industry and to exceed expectations.
For a location in Germany or at one of the worldwide locations, we are looking for you as
Technical Expert Batterie Systems (m/f/d)
Your knowledge and skills:
- Provide and develop global expertise on battery technologies with focus on PHEV and BEV, from system down to component level including its functional breakdown
- Screen global battery system technology-based market and convert it into a specific technology roadmap
- Benchmark battery system technologies with focus on thermal management
- Evolve global understanding of different battery technologies (technology, costs, strategy)
- Identify future product opportunities
- Lead technical meetings with global customers to actively market and support new battery related technologies, including alignment on product requirements
- Interface and active conversation with research institutions, universities and other battery experts to support battery strategy
- Support development of future manufacturing technology
- Development and implementation of battery system based thermal prototype build, test & validation activity
- Actively publicize thermal management systems approach to customers, partners, suppliers and the industry
Qualifications:
- Expertise in battery systems design and operation
- Knowledge or expertise in vehicle coolant and refrigerant systems and their interaction and influence on battery performance
- Knowledge of polymer material processing and development an advantage
- Knowledge of materials used in the thermal management systems an advantage
- A creative and intuitive mindset
- Ability to lead/teach team in a new complex solution approach / battery technology
- Manage programs meeting the objectives
- Implement remedial actions and plans to address concerns
- Excellent customer interaction skills
- Self-directed with a high degree of self-motivation
- Team player with ability to support a team goal
- Proficient IT skills like Microsoft Office but also related simulation tools
