We're looking for a Regional Operations Director to lead our Textiles DACH's operations organization, reporting to the Managing Director. It's a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to build a lean, commercially strong operation and grow it. Travel: 40–60%

What You’ll Do

Leadership & people

  • Supervise the DACH management team: performance management, talent management and succession planning
  • Own health & safety: deployment, continuous improvement and enforcement of H&S processes, including the relevant legal responsibilities
  • Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding and retention
  • Lead training plans to build strong competence levels among laundry operators and technicians

Financial performance

  • Own the P&L, identify cost improvement opportunities and maximise revenue
  • Manage working capital: accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory
  • Build the annual budget and provide monthly forecasts with your Finance business partner

Commercial growth

  • Support the sales team in hitting growth targets and building action plans
  • Build and maintain close relationships with key and target accounts
  • Work with Marketing and Product Management to shape service design
  • Develop and continuously improve a sales and operations planning process

Operational excellence

  • Lead the lean conversion of laundries (5S, Standard Work, Pull/Kanban, DPM)
  • Build a lean, value-focused process framework for operational and commercial excellence
  • Ensure compliance with QESH quality procedures and other relevant standards

Governance & strategy

  • Act as a member of the Textiles Business Leadership Team
  • Lead monthly Level 3 Operations Reviews; participate in Level 2 reviews
  • Participate in the annual strategy process, including Value Creation Plan reviews
  • Translate CWS Cleanrooms' strategy into a cascaded Textiles Business DACH strategy
  • Serve as a registered Director (Managing Director or Prokurist) for Textiles DACH legal entities

What We're Looking For

  • MBA or similar degree
  • At least 5 years leading a manufacturing organisation with 200+ employees
  • At least 3 years' experience building continuous improvement cultures and deploying relevant tools in manufacturing; a formal qualification (e.g. Master Black Belt, Certified Practitioner, or similar) is a plus
  • A proven track record in B2B business development
  • Experience with global GMP standards or comparable quality standards is a plus
  • Fluent in English and German; other languages welcome
  • Willing to travel 40–60%

You Are

  • A team player with proven leadership skills
  • Hungry for learning and growth
  • Well organised and structured, with strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Articulate, with naturally good communication skills
  • Commercially astute, with an ability to spot an opportunity
