This position reports to the Head of Synthetic Virology and Cell Engineering and is part of the Technology Development Department located in Cologne, Germany; it is a fix-termed position opened for 2 years and will be an on-site role.What you will do:Gather information from literature research and own prior experience, as well as internal experts and brainstorming sessions in order to ideate, Independently design, conduct and analyze wet lab experiments.Communicate results in order to create and advise on innovative experiments of others. Willingness to dive into cutting edge technologies in cell and molecular biology.Collaborate with and coordinate activities across departments of the organization.Who you are:PhD in molecular biology, cellular biology, virology or similar field. A background in cell and gene Therapy is a strong plus.Experience with (6 out of 7): qPCR, ELISA, cell culture, molecular cloning, Western blot, virus production and fluorescence microscopy.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic statistics skills, as well as experience working with NGS datasets are a plus.Communication skills, both in writing and speaking.
