- University degree in Biology, Engineering, or Material Sciences (Master or Diploma)
- Biologists should have good knowledge of plant morphology, anatomy, and biomechanics, with a willingness to learn engineering-specific aspects.
- Engineers should be willing to familiarize themselves with plant properties relevant to the project.
Job Description
- Conduct research on plants to derive design principles for carbon fiber reinforced concrete.
- Utilize imaging methods such as light and electron microscopy, micro-computed tomography, MRI, and biomechanical test procedures.
- Process and model data for use in the CRC/Transregio 280 project, collaborating with other working groups.
- The position is 65% of full-time weekly hours, limited until June 30, 2028.
