We are searching for our next Logistics Administrator in our Bremerhaven team. As a Logistics Administrator, you will be processing customs documentation for one of our strategic clients. You will be supported by an experienced and fun team. This is a great opportunity to grow your experience with the customs business and embark on a career in Logistics. This will suit someone who enjoys routine work. We offer a 2 year fixed term contract.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

  1. Prepare and submit all necessary documents and registrations for the client’s cargoes (Import / Export / Transshipment)
  2. Ensure correct, timely and accurate data entries in all systems
  3. Continuously stay up-to-date with changing local procedures and regulations, especially ensure handling according to the Union Customs Code (Unionszollkodex) and the Veterinary Authority regulation
  4. Work in daily operations with meetings, safety standards, proper documentation and regulations
  5. Participate in refresher and training on customs and VAS products related topics

We are looking for:

  1. High School Diploma/Diploma in Customs related studies (Bachelor or Master’s degree is not required)
  2. Motivation and interest to learn about the customs business and the logistics industry
  3. Knowledge and experience with value added service products and customs legislation is a plus
  4. Practical experience in issuing customs clearance entries (ATLAS) is beneficial
  5. Pro-active team member who can organize and manage workload with a drive for productivity and efficiency
  6. Good language skills – German and English required
  7. Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  8. Customer focus: dedicated to meet the expectations and requirements of customers
  9. Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to quickly adapt to software
  10. Team player – works together with others in the business unit to achieve results
