The Sales Representative Microbiology (f/m/d) – South Germany (Home Office) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and/or territory/region on products or services. Establishes professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
This position is part of our Sales Teams located in the South of Germany and will be working remote from the Home Office. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Identify and „qualify“ Microbiology prospects and assessing customer needs, interests and qualifications in the Identification / Anti-Insusceptibility (ID/AST) testing of potential customers within Automation fields in the Region: Würzburg, Nürnberg, Munich, Stuttgart.
- Continually develop knowledge of products, market and industry trends, competition and customer strategies for potential development.
- Drive the agreed sales strategy and implement strategic closing action plan to meet area and country sales objectives.
- Be the primary contact for customers within the area and handle customers´ issues expeditiously and professionally.
- Work in conjunction with marketing to resolve customer conflicts by developing and implementing strategies and solutions designed to improve customer satisfaction.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Education: Bachelor´s degree or equivalent qualification in Science, ideally in Biology or a degree as a Medizinisch Technische Assistent*In (MTA).
- Ideally several years of professional experience in a similar sales position with focus on Sales/ Acquisition / Business Development with capital equipment in the Medical Devices sector.
- An understanding of business management systems, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CRM tools.
- Language skills: German and English on a professional level
- Travel availability between 50-70%
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Ideally experience in direct selling in a similar field of Microbiology, processing expert knowledge in Microbiology/Bacterial Identification /Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing and a proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ideally an understanding of the German healthcare system and IVD testing in a hospital environment as well as in the private sector.
