Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions designs and manufactures a complete range of engineered components and systems. Our solutions include hydraulics, electrification, fluid conveyance, electronic controls, and software, all built with a focus on quality, reliability, and safety.

Join us at our sites in Neumünster, Hamburg, Copenhagen, or Nordborg as an Embedded Software Security Engineer (m/f/d) to contribute to secure, state-of-the-art product designs.

Job Responsibilities

As the security expert, you will ensure the development and implementation of secure designs in our products to protect against cyber threats for hardware and embedded software. Your tasks will include:

  • Design and implementation of secure boot & software update mechanisms, signed application, and parameters mechanisms for existing and new products
  • Defining and reviewing technical security requirements
  • Conducting project reviews and audits within development teams
  • Screening, assessing, classifying, prioritizing, and fixing vulnerabilities
  • Performing Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARAs)
  • Responding to and troubleshooting security breaches
  • Providing internal team training and coaching

For this role, you should have an educational background in Embedded Software or a related field and several years of practical experience in a similar position.

Further Requirements

  • Advanced skills in systematic embedded software development on microcontrollers such as Infineon AURIX, NXP S32K3xx, and STM32
  • Experience with hardware security modules in microcontrollers
  • Good theoretical knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic mechanisms
  • Ability to translate cybersecurity issues at the technical level
  • Knowledge of international cybersecurity regulations and standards; CEH & CISSP certifications are preferred
  • Strong team-player qualities and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Creative, analytical, structured, and proactive mindset
  • Fluency in English; German is a plus
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to other Danfoss sites, especially Neumünster
