Position Overview
Danffloss wants a Manufacturing System and Solution Consultant for the EMEA region in Danfoss Power Solutions (DPS) Global Operations (GOPS). As part of the GOPS Manufacturing Systems and Services team, you will work with global solution architects and designers to innovate technology and manufacturing systems that power sustainable smart solutions.
You will collaborate with business stakeholders—Manufacturing Engineers, Process Technicians, Equipment Operators, and leadership—to troubleshoot incidents, resolve problems, gather requirements, and implement technical system solutions. This role requires research into new systems, application of standards, and documentation, with a strong understanding of the manufacturing shop floor landscape and ISA95 execution layers.
The position offers the opportunity to lead integration projects across sites and support future growth and strategy. The role is located at one of our main manufacturing plants in EMEA (Nordborg, Denmark; Neumunster, Germany; or Povaszka, Slovakia) with up to 40 days of travel per year.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide in-person and remote support for the enhancement, development, implementation, migration, and upgrade of manufacturing systems and services.
- Create documentation for installation, support, and training purposes.
- Work across multiple IT groups to deliver solutions within manufacturing.
- Develop and share best practices related to industry knowledge, technology relevance, and target solutions.
- Engage with local leadership to foster positive, cross-functional relationships with IT and non-IT colleagues.
- Support the integration of MES, HMI, and ERP solutions.
- Provide on-call support as required.
- Initiate and pursue process and solution improvements for the team.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Manufacturing, Information Technology, or a related discipline, with a demonstrated track record in supporting manufacturing/shop floor systems.
- Familiarity with ISA-95 and ITIL models and concepts.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar development tools.
- Experience with C#, VB, .NET web services/framework, or with PLCs and SCADA systems.
- Basic knowledge of SSRS, SQL Database, and Oracle Database (plus is a plus).
- Proficiency with MSSQL, T‑SQL, stored procedures, and indexing.
- Experience working with networking, server, and local site service teams.
- Strong working knowledge of current operating systems, IT hardware, and networking concepts.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to provide technical education to peers and leadership.
