Lead, Project Manager (m/f/d)

Location

The role is based in Niebüll, Germany (onsite role).

Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end execution of capital projects ranging from approximately $5M to $50M, from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate the overall site capital portfolio.
• Partner with business, operations, engineering, and finance teams to align project objectives with business priorities.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and external engineering partners.
• Drive engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start‑up activities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve project performance, mitigate risks, and maximize investment value.
• Promote continuous improvement by sharing best practices and lessons learned across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, or Food/Process Engineering.
• Extensive experience managing capital projects within manufacturing, industrial, chemical, food, or related environments.
• Proven success delivering large-scale capital projects with responsibility for cost, schedule, safety, and quality performance.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and stage‑gate capital project processes.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
• Preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management qualification.
• Experience delivering both brownfield and greenfield manufacturing projects.
• Experience working in multinational and matrix organizations.
