Overview

We are seeking a strong Commercial Casualty/Subrogation Manager to lead a new team and drive revenue and performance for our commercial clients.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver all required services in accordance with new commercial business contracts and work with sales to continue to expand and grow that business.
  • Manage a team of subrogation professionals to achieve subrogation recoveries in accordance with revenue goals for commercial clients.
  • Ensure that the team is performing in accordance with all productivity, quality, and compliance goals.
  • Manage a departmental budget by managing staffing and other resources and developing innovations, automations, and processes/workflows.
  • Provide training, coaching and mentoring of staff as appropriate.
  • Work with internal legal department to ensure staff are aware of legal doctrines, rules, and regulations that impact the various lines of business in commercial subrogation.
  • Act as an escalation point for internal teams and external clients to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Travel to the nearest Gainwell office as needed for meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration and/or five years of proven experience managing a subrogation team.
  • Prior experience managing remote teams of five or more employees.
  • Experience with commercial subrogation including insurance carriers, self-funded ERISA plans, and Taft‑Hartley funds, as well as Medicaid MCO and Medicare Advantage plans.
  • Proven ability to work with other internal teams to drive process improvements and achieve revenue goals.
  • Ability to perform in a team environment and motivate staff at all levels while handling pressure, delivering on project deadlines, and managing multiple initiatives.

Benefits & Compensation

Pay range: $69,400.00 – $99,100.00 per year. Base pay varies by region, equity, and experience.

Full‑time permanent salaried (W‑2) employee. 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
