An Investment Director independently and proactively manages core parts of the origination, investment, and asset management processes.Responsibilities and Duties:• Independently develops investment ideas, and assesses key research, information, and analysis to form investment theses, conveying the investment opportunities to the sector teams and investment committee• Structures and leads the due diligence process, including adviser selection, establishing comprehensive scopes of work, negotiating engagement contracts, and leading multiple workstreams of the execution process• Works closely with senior management teams to develop strategic initiatives (e.g. long-term business plan, governance and operational improvements, organic and M&A growth, major debt financings, reporting, ESG, and exit planning) and closely contributes to the execution and monitoring of progress• Conducts periodic fund reporting and valuation.• Focuses on gathering relevant market intelligence and broader industry trends relevant to the organisation and existing investment portfolio.• Develops and maintains a comprehensive industry network to support origination as well as ongoing asset management activities.Specific skills:• Effective interpersonal, management and mentoring skills to manage relationships with external parties, team members and with junior members of the organisation• Ability to contribute to increasingly senior responsibilities, including sector and fund investment strategy• Ability to formulate, structure and present ideas to internal stakeholders in a clear and compelling way.• Ability to communicate views to and manage external stakeholders.• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Fluency in additional European languages is a must – Italian is of particular interestDesired Experience8-12 years of experienceKey Elements of the RoleEnergy Investments #J-18808-Ljbffr
