Overview
In this role you will scale our flight and test hardware by strengthening in-house avionics capabilities. You will work in a lean team to transform requirements into robust electronics and software for propulsion systems. Expect hands-on hardware and software integration, design reviews, and lab development to drive reliable, manufacturable avionics. You will collaborate across disciplines to meet mission requirements, with a clear impact on system performance and test readiness. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape the avionics architecture for space-grade propulsion hardware.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Scale flight and test hardware and advance in-house avionics capability
- Plan, manage and execute hardware designs for avionics modules from concept to test
- Create test plans and support assembly, integration, and test of propulsion hardware
- Manage electronics and avionics projects and develop the avionics lab
- Plan, develop and build prototypes; conduct design reviews and reengineer boards for reliability and manufacturability
- Integrate hardware, firmware and software; define ICDs and support propulsion system integration and testing
- Apply EMC, signal/power integrity, derating and radiation mitigation practices suitable for mission requirements
Zentrale Anforderungen
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with supplier coordination, project management or team management
- Familiar with the space industry and space projects
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer or related field
- Experience building embedded systems end to end
- Knowledge of EMC design, signal/power integrity, derating and radiation considerations; familiarity with standards is a plus
- System integration experience across hardware/firmware/software; ICDs, harnessing and test benches
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for firmware development, test automation and data analysis
- Fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus
