Overview
In this role you will own and operate production-grade LLM systems, focusing on content generation pipelines and retrieval-augmented generation over internal documents. You’ll work within a TypeScript/Next.js stack, delivering applied engineering for systems already in production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, performance, and retrieval quality, shaping how the company leverages LLMs in real-world workflows. This is a hands-on, impact-driven opportunity to scale AI capabilities in production.

- Own production LLM-based systems and incident handling
- Build and maintain content generation pipelines and RAG workflows
- Work end-to-end with TypeScript/Next.js in production environments
- Improve existing codebases under live production traffic
- Implement robust retrieval, embedding selection, and metadata filtering
- Handle structured outputs, JSON schema validation, and function calling
- Design and run LLM evaluations and tracing/eval tooling in TS codebase
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Proven production ownership of at least one LLM-based system
- Advanced TypeScript and Node.js skills with strong typing
- Production experience with Next.js and App Router/server actions
- Experience with retrieval and hybrid search, embeddings, and reranking
- Document processing capabilities (PDF, OCR, DOCX, HTML)
- Structured outputs, JSON schema validation (Zod or similar), and function calling
- Experience with LLM evaluations and tracing tools (Braintrust, Langfuse, Promptfoo, OpenTelemetry/Arize Phoenix)
- Familiarity with Postgres, vector search (pgvector), Docker, Git, CI/CD, and cloud platforms
- Hands-on with Anthropic and/or OpenAI TypeScript SDKs
- Fluent English; German a plus
- Confident communicator in English
