An established renewable energy developer seeks a Project Developer to join the team near Bremen. The company focuses on wind and photovoltaic (solar) projects, with a growing pipeline across Northern and Eastern Germany.

The Role

As a Project Developer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from initial site identification through to the ready‑to‑build (RTB) stage. Your focus will be on permitting and planning, working closely with landowners, local authorities, and technical experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and development of wind and photovoltaic (PV) projects in Germany
  • Site acquisition and assessment (legal, technical, and environmental feasibility)
  • Securing property rights and managing contractual agreements
  • Drafting and negotiating land and project‑related contracts
  • Coordinating with public authorities, consultants, and partners to obtain building permits
  • Managing project documentation and progress through to RTB handover

Your Profile

  • Minimum 2 years\' experience in renewable energy project development (wind and/or solar)
  • Understanding of regional planning, site planning, nature conservation law, and contract drafting
  • Experience managing projects through the entire lifecycle (from land acquisition to RTB)
  • Proficiency with tools such as WindPro, AutoCAD, QGIS, or PV‑Sol is an advantage
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, particularly when dealing with landowners and local authorities
  • Willingness to travel within Germany as required

Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) is beneficial but not essential.
