Join our SIMULIA Industrial Equipment Industry Process Solution team as an Intern (m/f/d) in CFD and Aeroacoustics, where you'll help develop cutting-edge multi-physics methods and processes for industrial equipment applications. Based in our Munich office, you'll collaborate with a globally diverse team of experts specializing in fluids, structures, and electromagnetics.
Role Description & Responsibilities
- CFD Analysis of Fan Noise: Conduct simulations to assess fan noise and participate in workflow development.
- Simulation Setup & Execution: Perform various studies, including grid resolution and benchmark comparisons.
- Result Analysis: Focus on aero-acoustic noise generation mechanisms and evaluate different fan system configurations.
- Process Development: Contribute to the creation of a templated and automated simulation process.
- Documentation: Clearly document results and developed processes to enhance the integration of fan systems into larger climate units.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience with CFD simulations and a solid understanding of fluid mechanics.
- Proficiency in spectral analysis and sensitivity studies; ability to critically analyze results.
- Experience with CAD tools like SolidWorks or CATIA; scripting experience (Python preferred).
- Knowledge in acoustics or aeroacoustics is advantageous, though not required.
Note: German language skills are not necessary for this position.
