- Scientific Communications Manager (Contract)
- Fully remote (Germany) | Pharma / life sciences | Initial 2-3 year contract
We're supporting a global pharma business on a 2-3 year contract engagement.
The role runs the external communications for their open-innovation portal.
This platform opens the company's molecules, collaborations, and talent programmes up to external scientists working on unmet medical needs.
It sits inside an established communications function with its own governance and support (a dedicated analyst, interns, external agencies).
This is a solo delivery role. You own the portal's external communication end to end: profiles, paid media, seminars, events.
- What you'll work on
- Turning scientific projects into published profiles and digital content, cleared through the internal regulatory/legal review chain and timed to campaign launches
- Running Google Ads (search + display) - keyword and audience definition, A/B testing, and quarterly impact reporting
- Planning and delivering online seminars end to end.
This includes speaker contracting (including fair-market-value assessment), platform setup, registration, and pre/during/post communications
- Managing scientific events, testimonials and use-case content for digital channels
- SEO and GEO (generative engine optimization) for defined projects, plus Adobe Analytics tracking and KPI reporting
- Owning and improving the Confluence/Jira backend the team runs on
- What you'll bring
- An advanced life-sciences degree (Ph D or MSc) with strong scientific writing for external audiences
- Hands-on Google Ads experience (search + display): keywords, audiences, A/B testing, performance reporting
- Digital or scientific communications experience in pharma, biotech or life sciences
- A track record of end-to-end event or online-seminar delivery across multiple stakeholders
- Fluent English
- Bonus
- Confluence/Jira administration beyond basic use, and Adobe Analytics (tracking links, KPI insight generation)
- SEO and GEO experience
