Sr. Solutions Engineer - Digital Natives & Startups Munich, Germany

You will be an essential part of this mission, using your technical expertise to demonstrate how our Data Intelligence Platform can help customers solve complex data challenges.

You will report to the Director, Field Engineering in Germany, leading the Emerging team.

The impact you will have:

1. Form successful relationships with clients throughout your assigned territory to provide technical and business value in collaboration with an Account Executive and a Senior Solutions Architect.
2. Gain excitement from clients about Databricks through hands-on evaluation and Spark programming, integrating with the wider cloud ecosystem and third-party applications.
3. Contribute to building the Databricks technical community through engagement at workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
4. Become a Big Data Analytics advisor on aspects of architecture and design.
5. Support your customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications.
6. Develop both technically and in the pre-sales aspect with the goal of becoming an independently operating Solutions Architect.

What we look for:

1. Experience working with clients, creating narratives, answering customer questions, aligning agendas with interests, and achieving tangible outcomes.
2. Ability to independently deliver a technical proposition, identify customer pain points, and explain areas for business value to develop a trusted advisor skillset.
3. Prior experience with coding in a core programming language (e.g., Python, SQL, Java) and willingness to learn Spark.
4. Knowledge in a core Big Data Analytics domain with exposure to proofs-of-concept and understanding of a major public cloud platform.
5. Experience in solution architecture and design.
