At Databricks, we are on a mission to empower our customers to solve the world\’s toughest data problems with the Data Intelligence Platform. As a Delivery Solutions Architect (DSA), you will play an important role during this journey. You will collaborate with our sales and field engineering teams to accelerate the adoption and growth of the Databricks platform in your accounts. As a DSA, you will help ensure customer success in their use cases by providing the required architecture support and technical depth, leveraging other internal teams to assist some of our most complex customers who need guidance to accelerate usage on Databricks workloads they have already selected.
This is a hybrid technical and commercial role. It is technical in the sense that you are expected to become the post-sales technical lead across all Databricks products and committed customer workloads on their path to live. This requires engaging and communicating at all organizational levels using your skills and technical credibility. It is also commercial, as you will own and drive growth in your assigned customers and use cases by leading stakeholders, owning technical relationships, orchestrating internal teams, identifying new opportunities, and demonstrating planning and tenacity.
You will report to a DSA manager and be part of Field Engineering.
The impact you will have :
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Solutions Architects to understand the Use Case Demand Plan and focus areas, leading the post-Technical Win account strategy and execution for committed use cases.
- Act as an expert in Data, Analytics, and AI, serving as the accountable technical architect for committed use cases. Drive platform onboarding, technical enablement, remove blockers, and guide on architectural best practices to ensure successful go-lives and healthy workload consumption.
- Scale best practices by authoring reference architectures, how-to guides, reusable assets, and developing your expertise to become a technical delivery specialist.
- Be the first contact for technical issues and questions related to ongoing customer use cases.
- Leverage other Databricks teams such as Shared Technical Services, Learning and Enablement, Support, Professional Services, and Solution Architects to handle tasks beyond your scope.
- Create and execute a point-of-view on how to accelerate key use cases into production.
- Coordinate with Product and Engineering teams regarding new capabilities, previews, and upgrades.
- Provide internal and external updates on usage, customer health, risks, product adoption, and use case progression to leadership.
What we look for :
- 7+ years of experience in technical project or program delivery in Data, Analytics, and AI, with contributions to architectural design and technical debates.
- Programming experience in Python and SQL.
- Experience in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
- Experience designing Data, Analytics, and AI solutions in Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ability to attribute business value and outcomes to project deliverables.
- Technical program management skills, including stakeholder and resource management.
- Experience resolving complex escalations with senior decision-makers.
- Experience conducting workshops, creating roadmaps, managing regular cadence calls, and delivering complex projects.
- A track record of exceeding quotas, goals, or similar targets.
