Project Overview
Dawn Foods Europe is looking for an Interim Manager Supply Chain and Customer Service DACH and Nordics to start mid August. The position is vacant and the interim assignment is intended to bridge the time until a new permanent manager is hired.
The position is responsible for Supply Chain and Customer Service activities across the DACH and Nordics regions. You will manage the inventory planning, warehousing, transportation, the S&OP process and customer service, ensuring a maximum service level to our customers, On Time In Full delivery of our goods, against optimal costs.
This position reports to the VP Supply Chain and Customer Service Europe & AMEAP and is a member of the Darmstadt site leadership team. The expectation is to be on site in Darmstadt at least 3 days per week.
The responsibilities of the Interim Manager Supply Chain and Customer Service at Dawn Foods are
- Lead and develop a team of 6 supply chain specialists and 6 customer service officers
- Oversee warehousing, transportation, inventory planning, replenishment, production planning, and intercompany sales processes.
- Drive the development of strong 3PL logistics partnerships and contracts to ensure maximum service under optimal Supply Chain costs.
- Budget responsibility to drive cost recovery and efficiencies. Be responsible for the OPEX, Warehouse & Transport Budget.
- Drive supply chain excellence through continuous process improvement, cost control, and reduction of working capital.
- Lead a robust S&OP process, focused on obtaining the highest Customer Forecast Accuracy, translated in optimal Inventory management and Service level to our customers.
- Ensure excellent customer service through collaboration with internal stakeholders and effective complaint management
- Act as SAP Key User and provide commercial support to Sales, Marketing, and Accounts
What Does It Take to be the Interim Manager Supply Chain and Customer Service at Dawn Foods?
We’re looking for a hands-on leader with a strong strategic mindset and a passion for delivering supply chain and customer service excellence.
- Extensive experience in supply chain & customer service, ideally in the food processing or pharma industry.
- Extensive and successful management experience with direct team leadership
- Strong competency in organizational awareness, cross-functional thinking, customer focus, process improvement and cost efficiency
- Proficient in SAP and experienced in KPI monitoring, S&OP, and internal/external stakeholder collaboration
- Fluent in German and English
