IT Cloud System Engineer (w/m/d)

We are looking for an IT Cloud System Engineer (w/m/d) to join our team in Frankfurt am Main.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum service availability and performance for the DE-CIX Service Connect Platform and support continuous platform development.
• Work closely with product development teams and other technical platform engineering teams, requiring broad understanding of systems and applications and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Develop a solid understanding of DE-CIX’ products and processes, apply experience, and use initiative to tackle a range of challenges.
• Ensure stable and reliable IT services, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, fault analysis, service design/development (on‑prem & cloud) and contribute to platform automation.

Key Requirements

• Strong technical background with experience in IT hosting environments (cloud and on‑prem), virtualization and storage technologies, Linux/UNIX systems, base infrastructure services (DNS, Mail), monitoring tools (ELK, Grafana, Zabbix) and basic networking (Ethernet, IP, Routing, Firewalling).
• Ability to automate infrastructure and daily tasks using tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Salt, and scripting or programming languages like Python.
• Clear communicator, self‑motivated, able to work independently, eager to share knowledge, contribute ideas and continuously develop skills, and open to participate in a 24×7 on‑call rotation.
