Category Manager – IT Services & Software (m/f/d)

Your Contribution Design and execute end‑to‑end sourcing strategies for IT solutions, integrating business and technical requirements into forward‑thinking procurement actions. Lead negotiations and manage major contracts and framework agreements with top‑tier IT, software, consulting, cloud, data‑center vendors and software resellers, driving bundling, optimization, and global alignment initiatives to ensure optimal value. Collaborate closely with IT, Product Management, Finance and other business units to align procurement strategies with technical and organizational needs, facilitating communication and fostering stakeholder engagement. Develop and sustain strategic partnerships with leading IT service providers, software vendors and resellers; oversee the entire source‑to‑contract process, securing strong agreements and building long‑lasting, value‑driven relationships. What You Bring Along Minimum 3–5 years of procurement experience in IT, software, technology and/or cloud sectors with substantial international and cross‑functional exposure in a global matrix organization. Knowledge of IT contracts, license agreements, essential legal clauses, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, cloud platforms, software licensing models and service‑level agreements (SLAs). Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of negotiating large‑scale strategic contracts with enterprise software publishers, cloud providers, resellers, consulting partners and datacenter companies. Completed degree in Business Administration, IT Management, Procurement or a related field. Full professional proficiency in English and German (additional languages are a plus). Analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills; proficiency in MS Office and procurement management systems; highly proactive, organized and resourceful with outstanding communication skills.
