Join Debeka as a Software Developer (w/m/d) in the IT Cross-cutting department “Development and Integration Services”. You will lay the technical foundation for modernizing our application development and contribute actively in modern projects of Debeka-IT.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of cross-cutting framework components and Java-based technologies for application development and integration.
• Concept, develop, maintain and support our development platform for Java backend development based on modern technology standards and architectural solutions.
• Usage of current technologies: Java, Quarkus, OpenShift, JPA, Eclipse Microprofile, Apache Kafka.
• Close collaboration in the team with pair programming and code reviews.
• Operational involvement in and with IT projects to support developers when using our platform.

Qualifications

• Completed studies with IT focus or IT training with several years of professional experience.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in backend application development in an enterprise environment and solid knowledge in Java and the mentioned technologies.
• Practical knowledge in architecture patterns such as the Transactional Outbox pattern, hexagon architecture etc.
• Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new technologies and approaches.
• High quality awareness, customer orientation, teamwork, initiative and self-responsibility.
• Excellent German language skills in spoken and written.
