Decel Design is a Munich-based robotics startup in stealth mode. We’re developing a new kind of connected, hands-on consumer electronics game, built on patent-applied core technology. With a little bit of brains and a lot of magic, we’re building the next big thing in physical consumer games.
The role
You’ll be our first engineering hire and a founding engineer for our electronics. You will own the electrical and embedded systems that power our product, from schematic simulation and PCB design to firmware and hardware validation. You’ll work directly with the founders and have a lot of say in how the product and the engineering culture get built.
Responsibilities
- Create and simulate schematics for the product’s electronics
- Select and test electronic components and design PCBs
- Work on the embedded software that drives the electronics and hardware
- Test and measure hardware behaviour across development stages
- Attend EMC testing, adapt designs, and work towards certification
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering
- Proficient use of PCB design software (e.g. KiCad, Eagle or Altium)
- Experience with low-latency, real-time embedded systems
- Experience with high-speed digital and analogue signals
- High energy and a self-sufficient working style
