YOUR ROLE
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (f/m/d) who wants to do more than ship tickets. You’ll take real ownership of core parts of our backend, from architecture decisions to production. Alongside that, you will design and build production-grade AI systems that power deeploi’s intelligent IT workflows, taking manual work off our customers’ and our support team’s plates. You’ll work in a small, experienced team that cares deeply about doing things right.

You’ll work in a small, experienced team that cares deeply about doing things right.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and maintain the backend architecture of deeploi’s platform — with a focus on scalability, reliability, and clean code.
- Own features end-to-end: from planning and architecture to deployment and maintenance.
- Design and build LLM-powered features and agentic workflows that automate manual IT and support tasks — from first prototype to production.
- Make AI features production-ready: prompt and tool-use design, evaluation, monitoring, and safe rollout.
- Work closely with frontend and DevOps teams, contribute to code reviews, and help set engineering standards.
- Optimise performance of data-heavy systems and ensure infrastructure scales with our customers’ needs.
Your profile
- 5+ years of experience in backend or software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL and complex data structures.
- Track record of building data-heavy applications and scalable infrastructure.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs or a strong appetite to go deep into AI engineering.
- You care about quality, security, and user experience — and it shows in your code.
- Comfortable owning large parts of the product roadmap — independently and within a team.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
Nice to have:
- Experience with MDM systems or enterprise device management.
- Familiarity with data analysis or analytics tooling.
- Experience with Windows-based services and server environments.
- Experience building and deploying LLM, GenAI, or agentic systems in production — not only demos or prototypes.
- Familiarity with LLM application patterns: tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), orchestration, context management, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Experience integrating AI systems with Zendesk, Intercom, CRM systems, knowledge bases, or internal business tools.
- Proficiency in Python in addition to TypeScript.
