Overview
In this Financial Controller role, you will oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and compliance across the group. You will drive timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and deliver reliable financial insights to management. The position supports multi-entity and international operations, coordinating with auditors and tax authorities. You will lead process improvements, automate reporting, and mentor the finance team. This role offers impact by strengthening governance and enabling strategic decision-making within Delta’s ESG-focused business model.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany)
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/local GAAP and company policies
- Maintain internal controls, procedures, and documentation
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators
- Produce monthly/quarterly/annual performance reporting to product heads, regional heads, and corporate groups
- Lead monthly close, including accruals, provisions, depreciation, inventory valuation, and intercompany reclassifications
- Convert German GAAP bookings to IFRS/local GAAP and group policies; ensure timely month-end close
- Prepare monthly reporting packs (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and variance analysis
- Reconcile balance sheet, bank, AR/AP, inventory, and fixed assets; ensure data accuracy
- Support annual budgeting/forecasting and monitor performance against plan
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions; drive cost control and profitability improvements
- Ensure statutory financial statements are prepared timely; coordinate audits; manage tax reporting (VAT, CIT, withholding tax)
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess financial impact
- Lead and develop the accounting/finance team; drive ERP improvements (SAP) and automate reporting
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Professional qualification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CFA, RA)
- 3+ years in finance/accounting with 1–2 years in a controlling/managerial role
- Strong monthly closing and reporting experience in a multi-entity or international environment
- Solid knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP and internal controls
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Advanced Excel; familiarity with automation tools and financial analysis
- Language: German B2; Mandarin is a plus
- Occasional travel for meetings with group finance, auditors, or stakeholders
