We're supporting a global technology business within the semiconductor equipment industry as they look to strengthen their System Architecture team in Switzerland. This is a technically broad role within the development of complex, high-precision mechatronic equipment, combining mechanics, motion control, electronics, software, machine vision and process technology. The focus is on understanding how these disciplines interact and ensuring they come together as one coherent system. Rather than owning one individual subsystem, you’ll take responsibility for the technical architecture of the complete machine – translating customer and product requirements into engineering specifications, guiding multidisciplinary development and remaining involved through implementation, testing and verification. Key responsibilities include: Defining system architectures for complex mechatronic equipment Translating customer and product requirements into structured engineering specifications Coordinating technical decisions across mechanics, electronics, software, motion control and automation Defining verification strategies and identifying technical risks early in development Facilitating technical workshops and design reviews across multidisciplinary engineering teams Working directly with development machines during commissioning, testing and verification Supporting Product and Project Management with technical feasibility and engineering trade-offs Contributing to future technology and product roadmaps I’m interested in speaking with experienced System Architects, but equally with strong Systems Engineers ready to take the next step into a broader architecture position. Relevant backgrounds could include semiconductor equipment, precision automation, robotics, special-purpose machinery, advanced manufacturing systems or other complex capital equipment environments. You don’t need to be the deepest specialist in every discipline, but you should have the technical breadth to understand how mechanics, motion, automation, electronics, software and sensing technologies influence overall machine performance. The position is based in the Canton of Zug. English is the primary working language; German is advantageous but not essential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
