DEMARCHE is looking for a Sous-chef for its Carré d’Asse restaurant,
Sous-chef – Permanent contract – 100%
Your main activities
The sous-chef assists the head chef in managing and organising kitchen activities to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant and catering service. They are responsible for deputising for the head chef in managing the brigade and coordinating the teams’ work. They participate in supervising, training, coaching and evaluating about ten young people from the motivation semester (SEMO) to promote professional reintegration, as well as two apprentices.
Catering and administration
- Manage the execution of various culinary tasks (restaurant and catering) to meet customer requirements - Under the head chef’s responsibility, you will be in charge of preparing and making dishes according to recipes and quality standards. - Supervise the quality of work provided by beneficiaries - Deputise for the head chef in their absence - Manage stocks, order supplies and check received goods - Participate in inventories and ensure proper maintenance of premises and equipment - Implement and enforce safety and hygiene standards
Co-supervision of team & Training
- Ensure supervision and coordination of team activities by organising, distributing and controlling work - Develop beneficiaries’ professional and personal skills and promote their reintegration or integration into the labour market - Supervise, train, empower and evaluate beneficiaries and apprentices - Train and coach on specific topics related to sector activities - Set objectives and assess beneficiaries’ skills - Raise awareness among beneficiaries and apprentices about health and safety rules at work and ensure their daily application
