Senior Satellite Imagery & ISR Lead (Defence & Intelligence) in München

Our client is a fast-growing German satellite imagery and AI company with an international presence across Europe, Asia and North America. Its technology helps organisations turn satellite data into actionable insights, and the company is expanding its activities within the German defence and intelligence sector.

We are looking for someone who understands Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and wants to help shape the next generation of AI-powered satellite intelligence solutions.

You will own the development of a product designed for German and allied defence and intelligence users, working directly with military stakeholders to understand their operational challenges and translate those needs into deployable technology.

Your Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap and development priorities of an AI-powered ISR and satellite imagery product
• Work closely with Bundeswehr and defence stakeholders to understand operational requirements, intelligence workflows and mission needs
• Translate user feedback and operational challenges into clear requirements for AI/ML, software and geospatial engineering teams
• Guide the product from demonstrator and prototype stages into operational deployment
• Help develop capabilities including object detection, change detection, imagery analysis and geospatial intelligence
• Support deployment in secure, on-premise and air-gapped environments
• Organise user workshops, gather feedback and ensure the product delivers value in real defence use cases
• Contribute to defence projects, customer discussions and technical proposals
• Act as the bridge between military end users, engineering teams and commercial stakeholders

Your Profile

We are interested in candidates who bring operational knowledge of ISR and military intelligence, whether gained in the armed forces or through developing technology for defence customers.

• Experience in ISR, military intelligence, reconnaissance, GEOINT, IMINT or a closely related defence field
• A background in the Bundeswehr is highly valued, particularly in intelligence, reconnaissance or imagery exploitation
• Alternatively, experience developing or delivering ISR solutions for German defence customers
• Understanding of military intelligence processes and how analysts and operational users work with intelligence data
• Ability to communicate confidently with military stakeholders and translate their needs into technical requirements
• Interest in taking ownership of a product and helping shape its development
• Fluent German and professional English
• German or other eligible European citizenship and eligibility for the relevant German security clearance
• Availability to work in Berlin at least two days per week

You do not need to have held the title of Product Manager. We welcome applications from military intelligence specialists, reconnaissance professionals, imagery analysts, defence consultants and technical leaders who want to apply their expertise in a product-focused role.

Nice to Have

• Experience with satellite imagery, remote sensing, SAR, GEOINT or IMINT
• Familiarity with intelligence collection and tasking, imagery exploitation or military CONOPS
• Experience in product ownership, project management or military capability development
• Exposure to AI/ML, geospatial software or defence technology
• Experience taking technical solutions from prototype to operational use
• Existing German security clearance
