Your mission The Adult Protection Office (OPAd) carries out guardianship mandates entrusted by the Adult and Child Protection Court (TPAE), providing the assistance and protection required by individual situations, within the limits of the mandate and respecting the legal framework.

To meet the specific needs of the most vulnerable and most resistant individuals to the support of guardians, the OPAd is strengthening its intervention system by setting up a unit composed of several outreach adult protection workers (IHMPA) from both the social work and mental health care fields.

Working in pairs with people suffering notably from mental disorders, addictions, or living in severely degraded conditions, the IHMPA will be tasked with creating, maintaining, or restoring a connection with these individuals by conducting home visits, visits to accommodation facilities, and to homeless persons.

Through their field intervention and follow-up, they will be able to identify risks and advise on appropriate support measures, while promoting collaboration with the social and health network.

Specifically, the IHMPA will have the following tasks: support guardians in complex situations presenting a high level of riskcarry out an assessment of situations taking into account all relevant factors and monitor their evolutioncontribute to the risk assessment for the person, their entourage, and professionalsliaise with network partners, particularly in psychiatry, mental health, and addiction fieldspropose suitable support measures and encourage recourse to the social and health system.

Your profile - Specific skills characterising the position The IHMPA must at all times adapt to complex situations involving multiple issues and a high degree of unpredictability.

Demonstrating great autonomy, they work closely with guardians as well as all partners involved in the follow-up of the concerned individuals.

In an emotionally demanding context and under significant stress, they must be able to establish relationships with people suffering from mental disorders, addictions, and severe precariousness, sometimes isolated and reluctant to accept help or care.

Thanks to their experience in the field and their observation and analytical skills, they are a driving force in proposing adapted solutions capable of reducing risks.

In addition to their human qualities, they demonstrate great rigour in follow-up and information transmission, a keen sense of responsibility, and the ability to synthesise essential elements in detailed reports. - Education For social worker profiles working outreach: Bachelor of Arts HES-SO in social work or an equivalent qualification.
