Overview As Lead Digital Signal Processing Engineer, you will shape the mathematical backbone of our inertial measurement technology and real-time flight control. You’ll develop and optimize DSP architectures, sensor fusion, and state estimation to boost navigation accuracy in demanding aerospace environments. The role blends theory and hands-on engineering across hardware, firmware, and AI-driven optimization, with a focus on scalable, robust solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance autonomous navigation across the Destinus platform, delivering meaningful impact for defense-grade flight systems. Verantwortungsbereiche Lead the development of the mathematical architecture for in-house inertial measurement unit technology Create and maintain digital twin models to simulate sensor behavior and system performance Design and implement high-speed control loop algorithms for real-time embedded applications Develop Extended Kalman Filters and sensor fusion algorithms in C++ to improve navigation accuracy Integrate AI-driven approaches for noise reduction, thermal compensation, and intelligent signal optimization Analyze raw sensor data to validate performance and establish benchmarks Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, embedded software, AI, and flight control teams to bridge theory and practice Contribute to evolution of autonomous navigation and guidance systems across the Destinus platform Zentrale Anforderungen M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Control Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or related field Expert-level proficiency in C++ for real-time embedded systems and RTOS environments Strong experience with Python, MATLAB, or Simulink for modelling and algorithm development Deep understanding of digital signal processing, control theory, and sensor fusion Experience with inertial navigation systems and familiarity with gyro bias stability, random walk, and scale factor linearity Solid understanding of embedded hardware systems including high-speed SoCs and FPGA-to-ARM interfaces Experience developing robust algorithms for high-performance aerospace, robotics, automotive, or defense applications Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate complex physical systems into scalable mathematical solutions collaborative curious results-driven C++ for real-time embedded systems Python MATLAB
