Overview
In this role you will design, integrate and test flight-critical avionics hardware for cutting-edge UAVs. You’ll own the full hardware development lifecycle, from requirements to hardware bring-up and validation, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You will build and validate test benches in Linux and contribute to reliable, high-performance flight systems. The position offers hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with a strong focus on end-to-end system integration.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Design, develop, and test flight computer hardware (schematic capture, PCB layout, manufacturing files)
- Own the hardware development process from requirements through validation
- Develop and maintain test bench software/scripts for automated hardware testing in Linux
- Serve as primary technical contact for hardware modules, coordinating with mechanical, GNC, and systems teams
- Perform system integration, functional testing, fault handling and diagnostics on lab and field hardware
- Apply structured hardware design reviews, documentation, and reliability improvements
- Support flight testing preparation, telemetry monitoring and field operations
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 2+ years hands-on experience developing avionics or complex hardware systems in aerospace, automotive, or robotics domains
- Strong proficiency in PCB design with Altium, KiCad or similar
- Experience writing software/scripts for hardware testing in Linux (Python, C/C++, Bash)
- Working knowledge of embedded C/C++, microcontrollers (e.g., STM32)
- Comfort with system-level debugging and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, electronic loads, JTAG)
- Solid understanding of serial interfaces (SPI, I2C, CAN, UART)
