Overview
In this role you will transform UAV concepts into operational flight tests, coordinating complex campaigns across Europe. You will work with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and refine flight tests, placing safety at the core of operations. You drive data-driven decisions by defining acquisition requirements and delivering clear findings that shape system improvements. This position offers hands-on field work, fast-paced problem solving, and the chance to contribute to autonomous flight technology in a cutting-edge defense context.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Plan and coordinate flight test campaigns with safety-focused hazard identification and mitigation
- Define data acquisition requirements and contribute to robust testing solutions
- Execute flight tests at multiple European test sites with advanced aerospace systems
- Analyze flight test data and deliver conclusive reports to drive technical decisions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, and program management to accelerate development and testing efficiency
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Relevant experience as a Flight Test Engineer in UAS or aerospace programs
- Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Strong understanding of flight testing methodologies, safety assessments, and test campaign execution
- Experience with data acquisition systems and data analysis software
- Hands-on engineering mindset in fast-paced testing environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills for cross-team coordination
- Willingness to travel internationally and support on-site operations in Europe
