Overview
In this role you enable critical flight tests by building and validating instrumentation for unmanned platforms, ensuring real-time data flows from telemetry and sensors. You will work with cross-functional teams to define requirements, install and calibrate systems, and troubleshoot in fast-paced test environments. This position sits at the core of advancing autonomous flight technology for defense applications, delivering reliable data to drive aircraft performance improvements. You will contribute to scalable instrumentation processes and collaborate across engineering and flight test teams for high-impact programs.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Identify data acquisition requirements for flight campaigns with engineering and flight test teams
- Design, develop, and integrate flight test instrumentation systems (hardware, software, telemetry, sensors)
- Define and implement telemetry systems and ground stations for real-time flight data
- Install, calibrate, validate, and maintain instrumentation on unmanned aerial platforms
- Ensure high-quality data acquisition during flight testing and troubleshoot instrumentation issues
- Support flight test operations on site and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve testing capabilities
- Contribute to scalable instrumentation processes for future programs
