Overview
As a Radar System Engineer, you will shape next-generation digital radar systems for high-performance, space-constrained environments. You’ll define system requirements, explore trade-offs, and select components to meet SWaP-C targets, working across HW, SW, RF, and signal processing teams. This role focuses on translating complex requirements into practical radar solutions that push sensing capabilities in defense applications. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver impactful, mission-critical aerospace innovations.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Behavioral modelling of bistatic radar systems
- System-level simulation to predict performance metrics (e.g., SNR, resolution)
- Validation of system models against measurements
- RX and TX architecture design and evaluation
- Writing requirements and specifications
- Lead system-level studies across domains: hardware, software, signal processing, mechanical
- Collaborate with RF design, digital design, software engineering, signal processing, and mechanical engineering
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Deep understanding of TX and RX architectures and their building blocks (amplifiers, mixers, filters, clock circuits and PLLs, A/D and D/A converters)
- Behavioral models of RF and analog building blocks (preferably in Python)
- Waveform design and digital communication principles
- Good understanding of radar signal processing
- Experience with bistatic radar is a plus
- Knowledge of FPGA devices is a plus
- Problem-solving mindset

- TX/RX architectures and blocks (amplifiers, mixers, filters, clocks/PLLs, ADC/DAC)
